What to include in a fence request

A request that covers the basics gets a more useful first answer:

  • the property address, and whether it is a corner lot
  • roughly how many feet of fence, and whether the ground slopes
  • the material you have in mind, if you know it yet
  • how many gates, and how wide each one needs to be
  • whether an existing fence has to come out first
  • whether a homeowners association has to approve the plan
